Anna Barr

Anna Barr is writer living in Houston, Texas. Her work appears in The Kenyon Review. She holds in MFA in Fiction from the University of Houston's Creative Writing Program and a BA in Spanish & International Political Economy from the University of Michigan. She has been an Inprint Marion Barthelme Prize winner, curator of Convergence Research, a platform for interdisciplinary experimentation at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts, an assistant fiction editor for Gulf Coast and cohost of the Poison Pen reading series. She is the Development Manager at Inprint, a literary arts organization serving readers and writers in Houston.

Anna is currently seeking representation for her first book Lexie in Exile, a new ex-pat story set in Alicante, Spain, complete at 45,000 words. She is at work on a second novel.
